Travelling alone, especially abroad, can be a traumatic experience
for the first time traveller. At A J Trust therefore, we have
made it a practice that no student travels alone. They travel
in batches from Branch HQ to the departure airport escorted by
our representative who will be with them until the plane takes
off. They will be received by our representatives in Moscow Airport,
who will travel along with them to the university, get them admitted
to the university and the hostel, get the Registration process
done and assist them in opening Bank Account, purchase of SIM
Card etc.
We also have our representatives stationed at each university
who are always available to our students for any assistance they
may require.
Some essential information is provided in this section, which
will help the student be well prepared in advance and make the
travel to Russia smooth and pleasurable.

your waist pouch:

$200 in currency with you. The balance amount can be in the form

(Travellers cheques are not well accepted in Russia). Avoid carrying
too much currency. (Soiled / Folded currency notes are accepted
only at a discount in Russia).
f) Indian currency of approx Rs 5000/- in case you need to pay
excess baggage charges.

3) It may be very cold when you land in Russia. Make sure you
have one set of warm clothing in your hand baggage, so that you
can wear them on landing in Moscow Airport. A warm jacket can
be carried in your hand from Delhi / Bombay itself to save on
space in your luggage as well as the weight.
4) Always adhere to the weight restrictions imposed by the Airline
(You have an allowance of 20kg for checked in baggage & 5
kg for hand baggage.) The weight of the baggage when checked at
home may be different from that at the airport. Hence, ensure
you carry adequate Indian Rupees for excess baggage charges, which
may be approx Rs 900/- per kg.
5) DO NOT accept any parcels from strangers at the airport. They
may carry drugs or other banned substances.
6) Always be with your group.
7) NEVER leave your baggage unattended. Someone can steal it,
or the airport authorities may confiscate it.
8) Maintain discipline at the airport and on the aircraft.
9) Carry a few packets of biscuits & some chocolates in your
hand baggage. You may need them on the journey from Moscow to
your University.
