Kursk State Medical University |
The Kursk State Medical University, is situated in the city of Kursk
in Western European Russia, about 500 km south of Moscow. Now an important
industrial, scientific and cultural center, Kursk was the scene of
the largest Tank battle in history, during World War II, between the
Soviets and the invading German Army.
The university was founded in the year 1935. Over the years, it has
evolved to become one of the prestigious medical universities in Russia,
known for its well qualified faculty, professional coaching and highly
acclaimed research achievements. The university is ranked among the
top ten medical universities in Russia. |

The annual intake of the university is 600 students
to the different faculties such as Medicine, Paediatrics, Stomatology,
Pharmacy, Clinical Psychology, Bio Technology and Prophylaxis. There
are nearly 1000 International students in the university from Africa,
Middle East, Europe, India, Sri Lanka, Burma etc out of the total
student strength of 5000.
There are 3 hostels for foreign students conveniently located near
the university campus and not far from the market, shops and restaurants.
